LATEST NEWS
The Playboy of the Western World - November 2011
In celebration of our 20th anniversary Navan Theatre Group presented J. M. Synge’s - The Playboy of the Western World, directed by Johnnie Grant in Solstice Arts Centre for a sell out five night run at the end of November 2011. The Director and cast of 15 thoroughly enjoyed the experience of bringing the humour, physicality and energy of Synge’s well known play to life on the Navan stage. This was our first Synge production and certainly one of the classics that simply had to be performed by the group. Audiences each night were well entertained and the buzz created within the group was palpable. We wish to sincerely thank all those who attended the play, assisted with the production and supported us through advertisements.
The group will reconvene on Tuesday February 7th 2012 in the Community Centre, Navan to consider options for the spring!
